My approach to therapy
I recognize that each and every client comes into therapy with a different background and lived experience. I take a collaborative approach with my clients to develop goals and a treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each person. I am creative in the therapy room, recognizing that what works for one person may not work for another.
Central to my practice is the cultivation of a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship, recognizing its pivotal role in fostering growth and change. Whether it's navigating trauma, managing anxiety, processing grief, or adjusting to change, I believe in the power of connection.
Therapy is a space of exploration and transformation, and my role is to guide you. I believe that you know yourself best and that people are capable of change. By modifying unhelpful behaviors, increasing cognitive flexibility, practicing emotional regulation, and strengthening relationships, we can find joy in life. My clinical work is centralized around Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory.
I welcome clients from all races, gender identities, cultures, religions, classes, abilities, countries of origin, sexual orientations, relationship types, and body types.
